Waiting On Wednesday #22

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

So, Book Con wasn't so great for me. I don't know if it had been a while or I was having a bad day, but the waiting was just not for me. I did however get to see Jenny Han, Natalie Decker and one of the ladies I look up to, Michelle Visage. And I only came home with 10 books. My bookshelves love me for that.

Funny how I had a problem with waiting there cause here is the book I'm waiting for.

Author: Leila Sales
Release Date: September 15, 2015

From the author of This Song Will Save Your Life comes a funny and relatable book about the hazards of falling for a person you haven't met yet.
Seventeen-year-old Arden Huntley is recklessly loyal. Taking care of her loved ones is what gives Arden purpose in her life and makes her feel like she matters. But she's tired of being loyal to people who don't appreciate her—including her needy best friend and her absent mom.

Arden finds comfort in a blog she stumbles upon called "Tonight the Streets Are Ours," the musings of a young New York City writer named Peter. When Peter is dumped by the girlfriend he blogs about, Arden decides to take a road trip to see him.
During one crazy night out in NYC filled with parties, dancing, and music—the type of night when anything can happen, and nearly everything does—Arden discovers that Peter isn't exactly who she thought he was. And maybe she isn't exactly who she thought she was, either.
How can I not be waiting for this? It has a blogger in it! I saw people pick this up at BEA (Insert jealously here.) and I had to go see what it was all about. For one, love the cover. Second, love the author. On top of all that, it just seems like a cute read. And I'm trying to get back into the YA genre as well, so hopefully by September, I'll be ready for it. I hope Leila has a rocking soundtrack to go with this book as well as her last.
